Repetitive schedules every week might urge the fans to switch to other channels in search of new films, unless it is a film like 3 Idiots or DDLJ that’s being telecasted.
But again it depends on which film is being telecasted. Films like Once Upon A Time IN Mumbai Again and Zanjeer which bombed at the box office proves to back fire for channels telecasting them unless there is no good option on TV. While most of them have opted for seeing BIGG BOSS 7 with Salman Khan or MAHABHARAT on a Sunday evening, it only goes out to prove that people do not have access to very few good films on the weekend. So while channels need to make an attempt to bring new films to improve their TRPs, they also need to shuffle with good films in their schedule rather than frequently repeating it. If they do not adapt to this formula they might just end up being another Channel V. While the music channel converted itself into a youth centric channel and have got ridden of their dose of music, the channel had started showcasing films every morning. But then the repetitiveness of films forced the channel to replace it with new youth centric shows. Similar was the case with MTV who once showcased films only to realise that the formula isn’t working for them.

But some channels still manage to sell old and new releases in a very modern manner wherein they bank upon their promotional tactics to make the broadcast a hit formula. Social media, mobile marketing and various contests make sure that the film, in spite of being telecasted for the millionth time will get its audience. These contests include bribing prizes like the film posters, DVDs, merchandise and even a date with the lead star cast of the film. Hindi movie TV channels like Sony Max, Movies Okay, COLORS and Zee films are too fond of this technique of promotion. While Facebook and Twitter contests begin a few hours before the movie is broadcasted, the excitement and the moods are already set.

However with limited techniques of promotion and lack of innovationComputer Technology Articles, it will be interesting to see how these movie channels cash in their gimmicks to hold on to their viewers.

  • The Health Benefits of Visiting an Asian Massage Parlor

There is almost a stereotype about the Asian massage parlor, and how it is often a front for a seedy type of activity that never sees the light of respectable day. Unfortunately, many people also do not realize that in Asia, massage has been a valued form of medicine, relaxation, therapy and stimulation for centuries. This has naturally trickled down into the members of the Asian culture, and so a Chinese massage parlor may actually be a fantastic place to enjoy yourself for many reasons. Chinese massage will often be a terrific way to reduce the toxins in the body and enjoy better health.

Most Asian massage parlor businesses will simply take appointments over the phone, online or even in person from someone who is interested in this type of massage and stimulation. This will allow the person to pay for a massage that will last a specific length of time. Most of those who work in a Chinese massage parlor have been trained in the very ancient techniques of massage. In fact, documents from B.C. 400 have indicated that the Chinese used massage since that time period, and utilized it extensively for its positive medical, physical, and spiritual benefits.

Interestingly enough, the United States is far behind the massage techniques and knowledge that can be available from a Chinese massage parlor, and many people choose to visit an Asian massage parlor for that very reason. The Chinese have very exclusive methods of working the toxins and tension out of the body, and have been doing so for almost five thousand years. The ridiculous notion of using a massage parlor strictly for sexual purposes is not a valid one. The massage is truly the actual reason so many people visit these types of places, and it is usually able to help an astonishing array of medical problems.

There are two basic types of traditional massage that one may experience at a Chinese massage parlor; the deep tissue massage and the pressure or acupuncture point massage. According to research, the benefits from visiting an Asian massage parlor or any masseuse may include reduction of high blood pressure, multiple types of anxiety, reduction of pain due to the gateway theory of pain, and even reduction of depression. While it is possible to get massage from any nationality, the Chinese truly have the oldest history and body of knowledge in this field.

  • The WWE In The 2000’s

Comments Off on The WWE In The 2000’s
    September 22, 2017 /  Entertaintment

I’ve watched professional wrestling now for about twenty-six years. I’ve flopped from the original NWA to the AWA and back to WCW, which was the newer format of the NWA. Now those are all gone with the WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment eventually owning most of the rights to them. I switched to the WWE when it was still the WWF years ago. I’d always flip the channels and checked it out on and off through the years just to see who was on there. I saw such wrestlers as Hulk Hogan and his rise, Randy Savage and Elizabeth with the first wrestling entertainment wedding I ever saw, and the infamous DX comprised of Triple H and Shawn Michaels. The more clips I caught the more I got interested in the program.

Now I’ve watched the WWE for about a decade and a half and I think that it’s in its worst all time state ever! Yes, all the generation of sports entertainers that first interested me are either retired or passed on but even as they were thinning out back in the early 2000’s they still kept me enthralled. However, these last two years I’ve been extremly bored while watching both Raw and Smackdown and me and my friend’s habit of watching every single pay-per-view has all but slowed to a halt!

Why? It’s simple. I feel like they’ve gotten rid of a lot of entertaining characters and replaced them with boring or just plain ridiculous elements. For instance, they have a entertainer on there now named Brodus Clay who comes out and dances with two women before his match. Now I’m sorry, and I in no way condemn heavy people being one myself, but watching a man who looks to be at least 300 hundred pounds with no muscle shaking it in the middle of the ring in tights is not my cup of tea! He calls himself the “Funkasaurus” and I suppose he is intended to make people laugh, but I think it’s down right silly!

Not only that, I think they’ve pushed (a wrestling entertainment phrase for giving certain people a push up the ladder) a number of characters without their deserving it. Alberto Del Rio is the most prominent one to come to mind. The only thing that makes him special is his relation to the popular luchador, Mil Mascaras. He’s not that outstanding or special in the ring and his promos are irratating but the WWE feels he should be in the top ten. Question mark to the mind! Why? Is it because they think he makes an excellent heel (bad guy) or do they see something I don’t? Who knows!

Both Raw and Smackdown were cool shows but now I can’t wait for them to end. Yes, I have the choice of not watching anymore, but being a true fan of sports entertainment I keep hoping something will improve and spark my interest again. Or I hope they will bring back lasting story lines to go with their feuds. It seems they’ve simply got guys arguing back and forth about how good they are, with a constant “We don’t get along” theme! If I want to watch that kind of stuff I’ll just check out a debate or news shows. All in all in the WWE would bring back one or two of the old elements it used to have and make their shows what they used to be, I would probably start ordering pay-per-views again and bite off anyone’s hand that attempted to change the channel while either Raw or Smackdown is on! Right now in my opinion, the WWE has spun out!

The film that was shown before in Serbia than in the United States. And seems to be the most important thing about the promotional marketing burden of new Expendables…

    Shooting, killing, blood everywhere…

And yet the same, only in reverse …

And, who else is there to ask for an even remotely serious script, when at gunpoint by themselves have Slay, Arnie, Dolphie, Bruce, Jean-Claude, Jet Lee … avengers that they are not “vigilantes”, although the Thor a.k.a. Liam Hemsvort is in question.

Tons of Ammunition, of course, “nobody can harm us – we are stronger than our fate” plot, at times surprisingly light-minded, but wtf, who cares for it … we can only regret those who needs something deeper, because it seems that the scenario was written for just a second little longer than an afternoon, but this movie is not for those who prefer, say, Woody Allen, or even Jet Lee. Because, Jet is in the movie only in the beginning, and after that he mysteriously disappears…

But, there was immortal Chuck Norris! And probably still remain in the next chapter of expendables …

And, for Gods sake, again – where is Novak Nole Djokovic? Why Sylvester and company dumped him from the movie? We saw some materials from shooting, and it seems that tennis player could be candidate for Oscar for supporting actor for the role in this movie. Is there any problem with US Open, or Sharapova, or he trashed some wrong guys in the coffee-break match during filming?

Is the movie better than the original? That’s not important, it’s all the same. Will it be better than the third part? And four? For Gods sake again, this is not important! The only important thing is readiness to roll some new severed heads. There is no real reason. Only system “Shooting, killing, blood everywhere”…

    Please, give forgiveness to Novak!

  • The Importance of Being Comical

Comments Off on The Importance of Being Comical
    September 10, 2017 /  Entertaintment

Stand up comedians are granted a social license to say what we think but dare not say out loud. We love comedy because it recreates our experience of life and leaves us with the gift of laughter. Comedy holds up a mirror to the conversations that dominate our society and allows them to be.

Comedy allows us to poke fun at ourselves and to laugh at the intricate web of social norms that otherwise would remain unchallenged. We feel connected as our human foibles are exaggerated and parodied for us to see in their naked form. We revel in the stories of human dysfunction in full flight. Maybe it is because it makes us feel better about the unworkability of our own lives? Maybe we just want to be taken to the absurd so we can forget.

There seems to be an even more socially important function for comedy. I recently watched Jon Stewart discuss how the gun lobbys fear of a possible dystopian future allowed us to ignore Americas dystopian present in reality. After lunging for the dictionary, I was reminded that comedy is best when it is not only funny but also true. It is no surprise that over the last few decades, news delivered with a comedic twist has become increasingly popular. Think late shows and late, late shows. News satire has become increasingly popular since its renaissance in the UK with shows like That Was the Week that Was in the 1960s and the now popular Saturday Night Live style that became popular from the US in the 1980s and still enjoys large audiences today. Now with David Letterman, John Stewart, Conan OBrien and Jimmy Fallon, there seems to be no end to the demand for the style.

But where did it all begin? Though stand up comedy could arguably be traced back to the time of the ancients. The Vaudeville style, where a comedian talks to the audience as himself, was made more widely popular during the Second World War. Comedians like Bob Hope, Jack Benny and George Burns entertained troops. Post war British favorites like Peter Sellers, Eric Sykes and Tommy Cooper all began this way. After the war, the proliferation of radio and television expanded the audience even further. Many stand up comic celebrities find their way into situation comedy (sitcom) where comedic premises from their routines form the basis for the whole show. Robin Williams, Jackie Gleeson, Bob Newhart and Bill Cosby are just a few stand up comics to transition into the television sitcom world.

Now comedians typically start their journey in the open mic clubs that pop up in every populated center in pubs, clubs, coffee houses and bars. Comedians are usually given 5 minutes to work their material and impress the crowd. From here they may participate in contests or grow their skills to the point where they are offered paid gigs or MC spots. This is the brutal trial-by-fire apprenticeship that would-be comics accept as their road to success. Whether comedy is just a means of entertainment or an insight into the cultural zeitgeist, it seems like it will never lose its place in society. What we deal with as a society and individuals is reflected in our comedy. Pop into your local open-mic club soon and you may see the stars of the future honing their craft. Maybe you will even be inspired to get up yourself? Either way, you are guaranteed to be entertained.

  • The Influential Cultures of Humour

Comments Off on The Influential Cultures of Humour
    September 9, 2017 /  Entertaintment

Throughout the world, humour has been presented through several forms. Various cultures have emphasized different aspects of humour and have made it their own. In this article, we will take a brief look at four different cultures and the main characteristics of their brand of humour and how they have sometimes influenced another cultures humour.

American humour: American stand-up comedians use a wide variety of comedic forms in their routines. Their humour can be categorized as more slapstick, improvisational, and oftentimes observational, especially due to the influx of Jewish comedians like Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Lenny Bruce, and Jerry Seinfeld during the latter part of the 20th Century. African-American comedians also play a very big part in American humour and some of the countrys most-celebrated comedians like Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, and Eddie Murphy hail from that community. Compared to British humour, American comedy tends to be more direct and less subtle. It can also be more risqu and profane than British humour with topics ranging from drug consumption to sex with lots of profanity in order to shock and offend the audience.

British humour: British comedians often use satire, irony, innuendo, and absurd elements to make their audiences laugh. There isnt any subject that is taboo to British humour, though comedians tend to be more subtle about controversial topics like sex than their American counterparts. They also make a lot of jokes about stereotypes of different cultures present in the United Kingdom. The television series Monty Python and Ali G are good examples of this. In fact, British television comedy shows have been so influential that a lot of them have been remade for American audiences, such as is the case for The Office, All in the Family, and Threes Company.

Jewish humour: Due to its vast influence on American comedy, Jewish humour plays a very large role in comedy on this side of the pond. As mentioned above, their humour is very much observational, anecdotal, and self-deprecating, with lots of references to Jewish culture, their religion, and even sometimes anti- Semitism. When Jews began to immigrate to the United States following World War II, they were having a hard time finding mainstream success, but they eventually came to acceptance with the emergence of American radio and television sitcoms. In the 1950s, Milton Berle, a Jewish comedian, became the first major television star during TVs golden age. Today, Jewish humour is still very much a part of North American comedy, thanks in part to the success of television sitcoms like Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Canadian humour: Partly because of its many regional cultural differences, Canadian humour is influenced by various themes and trends. English-speaking Canadians often make jokes at the expense of French-speaking Canadians, and vice versa. Newfie jokes are also very popular throughout Canada and have become part of Canadian culture. Canadian comedians also enjoy poking fun at the numerous differences between Americans and Canadians. One example of this is Rick Mercers comedy routines, Talking to Americans. Like British comedy, satire is one of the most evident characteristic of Canadian humour, specifically in political comedy shows such as Royal Canadian Air Farce and The Rick Mercer Report.

  • Indian Television – From a Single Channel to More Channels Each Day

Comments Off on Indian Television – From a Single Channel to More Channels Each Day
    August 30, 2017 /  Entertaintment

In the early days of this industry there were few serials, or drama shows showcased on television. The single Indian TV channel was used to inform the consumers about the governments various schemes; it was used to showcase values and message ads for population control etc. This channel showcased cultural programs and dance recitals on TV. Speeches by the Prime Minister and the President of the country on Independence and Republic Day were the highlight of the day’s celebration. Different States present a preview of the state on wheels called floats during the republic day parade is extremely popular even today. Progress both economic and technological has brought a sea change in the last 6 decades of TV viewing.
From a single Indian TV channel to a few in the 80’s to cable TV to satellite channels television has come a long way. TV viewing today is exhausting, there are so many channels to view, new channels being added each day yet time available to see them is very limited. It’s such an ironical time. When people had ample time to complete their chores and watch TV there was a single Indian TV channel to see, while today when you hardly get any time you have the option to watch 100+ TV channels.
The viewer has become very choosy about the channels he likes, what with so many options available. There are a lot of channels from Hindi TV channels to movie to music to history to animal planet. The TV viewing experience has changed too, with bright colours, more drama, better editing and quality of picture being shown on Indian TV channels with satellite to home connections.
Hindi TV channels today cater to almost every age group. Family viewing of drama serials, reality shows for dance, cooking, singing etc, kid’s shows like cartoon, fantasy and fairy tale shows, to travel channels showing every place of worship in India, their importance and rituals followed with the stories behind each shrine. Every Hindi TV channel is constantly vying for the top slot in channel consumer viewer polls. They look for new ways to showcase either the same plot in a different way, or to come up with new show formats that were not showcased earlier in a bid for supremacy.
New genres are being invented in a bid to grab the interest of the new age consumer; with an eye to improve either their sagging TV channel ratings or to become household names and staying on top of the fame chart always. Today there is at least one dedicated channel for different things like Hindi TV channels for drama, news channels, for history, music channelsFind Article, and of course devotional channels.

  • Do The Maya Believe The End Of The World Is At Hand

Comments Off on Do The Maya Believe The End Of The World Is At Hand
    August 26, 2017 /  Entertaintment

The Mayan people who lived in what is now modern day Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico had exceptionally complicated calendars. During the 18th century, scholars began to translate the Mayan calendar, and realized that the current cycle would end round about December 21st 2012.

It just so happens that upon this date, the earth and sun will be roughly aligned with the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. It is also of course the Winter Solstice, or shortest day of the year. These facts combined with the overheated imaginations of people who love to speculate about the end of the world being at hand, have given rise to endless speculation that somehow the world will come to an end on December 21st 2012, or that we will transition into a new state of being.

Mayans themselves on the whole just shrug their shoulders, and entirely disbelieve in the so called Mayan prophecy. To them it is simply the end of a long time cycle, rather like 31st December. But of course, there is money to be made from Doomsday, so the Tourist Boards of the various Mundo Maya (Mayan World) countries have been milking it as hard as they can.

Many people genuinely believe that the Mayan civilization was founded by extra terrestrial beings, and that they created the complex calendar to indicate to the world that some cataclysmic event would take place. In fact, it’s not even certain that the Mayan calendar does end on December 21st 2012, experts disagree on this point.

People who follow the various Mayan Doomsday Cults believe that there will be some kind of special beam radiated from the center of the Universe to Earth. Of course, one person’s Doomsday Cult is another person’s respectable belief after all, most Christians believe in the end of the world as we know it and the second coming of Christ.

One of the interesting aspects of the Mayan Prophecy is that people believe that the way in which humans respond to these end of the world events will affect what actually happens. Some believe that if it is greeted with open minds and hearts, we will somehow be transported into a new age, where we will enjoy a higher consciousness.

There are some who believe the the original intergalactic seed Maya beings will return on December 21st, bringing with them new knowledge and ushering in a new age of peace, harmony, and wisdom. Interestingly, very few people actually seem to believe that we are looking at the end of the world, rather some kind of rebirth.

Events due to take place at Mayan sites all over the Mundo Maya range from international concerts to a few enthusiasts camping out over night at some of the smaller temples. There doesn’t seem to be a mass subscription to an end of the world scenario, rather, this seems to be for most people something fun and interesting, fueled by the seemingly endless doomsday programming of the History Channel and the like.

Laughably, one such program showed an intrepid explorer traveling to a secret Mayan site. The secret site is half a mile off of a main road and visited by tourists daily. The Mayan shaman in the film, introduced as a traditional wise man in his Mayan hovel, is actually a well known village elder and tour guide who, carefully out of shot, has a TV, stereo system and the like in his admittedly traditional home.

In hushed tones the intrepid explorer explained that he had to beat his way through almost impenetrable jungle to the site, which he announced he had very special permission to visit. The impenetrable jungle he was showing the viewer was in fact a cultivated banana plantation, there were even a few chickens pecking around! Yes, the Mayan end of the world Doomsday cult has brought charlatans out in their droves.

Fortunately the Mayan Prophecy seems to be a mild and pleasant variant of the regular end times theme which has not gulled people into serious fear and worry.
